YOU GOT THE DIAGNOSIS — BUT NOBODY GAVE YOU A PLAN.
You found out early and you've been spiraling
A scan came back low, or you learned it runs in your family, and the number shook you. You keep thinking about your mom or your grandma, and wondering if this is just going to hang over you for the rest of your life.
Your doctor said "just exercise" and left you with Google
No exercises named, no idea how heavy or how often. Just "exercise." So you went down the rabbit hole, and now you've got a hundred contradictory answers and still no plan you trust.
You know the answer is "lift heavy," but you're scared to do it wrong
Everyone says lift heavy and add impact. But you're a newbie, or you only have dumbbells at home, and the idea of loading a barbell or jumping with fragile bones is exactly what scares you. Nobody is there to check your form.
There was never anything wrong with your effort. You were just told "exercise" and left to figure out the how, alone.

"For the first time I feel like I'm doing something instead of just worrying."
I'm 34 and osteoporosis runs hard in my family. My mom was diagnosed young. When my own scan came back low I completely spiraled. My doctor basically said "lift weights" and that was it. I'd read every thread. I knew I was supposed to squat and deadlift and do impact stuff. But I'd never touched a barbell and I was terrified I'd hurt myself. I started training with a coach over Zoom from my apartment with just some dumbbells and a mat. She started me light, watched every rep, and built me up slowly. A few months in I'm lifting real weight, I actually know what I'm doing, and I'm not scared anymore. For the first time I feel like I'm doing something about it instead of just worrying.

WHY "JUST EXERCISE" NEVER GOT YOU ANYWHERE
JUST EXERCISE" ISN'T A PLAN
No exercises, no load, no frequency, no form. It's the most common thing doctors say and the least useful, because it sends you straight to Google with nothing to hold onto.
GOOGLE CAN'T WATCH YOUR SQUAT
Articles and videos give you a hundred answers and can't tell which one fits your body, your age, or your history. They never see your form and never correct it.
WALKING AND SWIMMING BARELY LOAD YOUR BONES
They're good for you, but bone grows when you challenge it. That means real weight-bearing work and impact, not gentle cardio, and not high-rep light weights that never load the skeleton.
LIFTING HEAVY ALONE IS HOW BEGINNERS GET HURT
Bone needs real load to grow, but heavy squats and deadlifts with unpracticed form are exactly how people pull something or worse. The load is the point. Doing it unwatched is the risk.
You already know the answer is lifting heavy and adding impact, consistently, for years. What you don't have is someone building it around your body and watching your form, so you can load your bones hard enough to matter without gambling on your technique.
That's exactly what Mywowfit was built for.
HOW IT WORKS — FROM WORRY TO A REAL PLAN
Book a consultation with Maria
Tell her about your scan, your risk factors, what you've got to train with at home, and what you want to get out of it. She asks questions and looks at how you move.
Get matched with the right certified trainer
Maria pairs you with a trainer who has experience building weight-bearing and resistance plans for bone health, whether you're a complete beginner or already lifting.
Train live, 1-on-1, over Zoom, from home
Your trainer builds your plan around your body and your equipment, coaches every rep, and progresses your load safely. No commute, no gym required.
I've worked with people at every stage of this, from someone who just got a scary scan in their 30s to people who've been lifting for their bones for years. If your doctor just said "exercise" and left you to Google it, or you know you're supposed to lift heavy but you're scared to do it wrong, I get it. It doesn't mean you're behind. It means nobody has shown you exactly how, or watched you do it. Tell me your situation, your risk factors, and what you've got to train with at home. Once you've been checked out, I'll match you with the right certified trainer, so you can build stronger bones with someone watching your form and progressing your load safely.

No. You tell Maria once during the consultation. She briefs your trainer before session one. Your communication needs are built into the match — not something you re-explain each time.
Some trainers are ASL-conversational. Tell Maria your preference in the quiz or consultation and she'll factor it into the match. All trainers communicate through visual demonstration and text chat regardless.
Fine. Every correction and instruction comes through visual demonstration or Zoom chat. Your trainer doesn't rely on audio reaching you. Aids on or off — the session works the same way.
Yes. Vestibular involvement alongside hearing loss is common and something Maria specifically asks about. Your trainer builds vestibular-aware progressions — stability before load, from your actual baseline.
Yes. The format is all-visual by design, not by accommodation. Zoom demonstration and text chat are the primary communication channels. Nothing about the session relies on audio.
Zoom has built-in live transcription you can enable at any time. Your trainer also uses the Zoom chat window for instructions as text. Maria can walk you through the setup before your first session if helpful.
We'll rematch you at no extra cost. Finding the right fit matters — and Maria already knows your communication needs so the next match starts from the right place.
Yes. Only 1 in 7 trainers makes the platform. All hold recognized US or international certifications or a sports science degree. Trainers working with deaf and hard-of-hearing clients are selected for adaptive communication skills.
97% of our clients are still training after 6 months. Most come through referrals. Reviews are on Trustpilot, Google, and Reddit.
Sessions start from $30/session for live 1-on-1 training on Zoom. The consultation with Maria is $20. No long-term commitment required.
Yes — Mywowfit sessions are HSA/FSA eligible. Check with your plan provider for specific coverage details.
Because every format you've tried assumed audio worked. One-on-one online with a visual-first trainer removes that assumption entirely. That's the structural difference — not effort, not intention.
