I'm 44 and I gave myself a brutal case of tennis elbow ramping up my lifts too fast. I rested, wore the strap. Three months and it was no better. I was sure I'd have to stop lifting. Then I started training over Zoom with someone who actually watched me. Turns out I was loading it wrong and bailing every time it twinged. We dialed in the right exercises at the right weight, slow and progressive, and adjusted my lifts so I could keep training around it. A couple of months later the pain is gone and my grip is stronger than before. I just needed someone to get the dose right.
