For four years my hamstrings tweaked every time I did anything explosive. I'd rest, stretch, ice, and pull it again the next week. I figured I was just made this way. Then I started training over Zoom with someone who actually watched me move. We stopped stretching and resting and started strengthening, Nordic curls and single-leg deadlifts, slow and progressive. Turns out my hamstrings were just weak and a couple of other things were compensating. Months later they feel fine for the first time in years, and they're not pulling anymore. I'd been treating it backwards the whole time.
