Ramashna Naidoo is a yoga teacher with a unique journey that led her to this amazing path. Ramashna spent 13 wonderful years as a flight attendant, constantly on the move. However, after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer in her mid-twenties and experiencing surgically induced menopause at 30, the hectic jet-setting lifestyle began to take a toll on her physical and mental well-being.
Eventually, Ramashna resigned from her flying career and transitioned by working as a cosmetic representative while studying and teaching yoga. This move toward a more balanced and centered lifestyle was life-changing. Yoga became her sanctuary—a place to slow down and find peace amidst the chaos—making her stronger and more resilient, both mentally and physically. Teaching yoga allowed her to share its transformative power with others and witness its impact on their lives as well.
Ramashna now teaches therapeutic yoga at mental health facilities, rehab centers for addiction, an old age home, and a women's shelter/safe house. For her love of more challenging styles of yoga, she also teaches at fitness clubs.
"My commitment to personal growth in teaching has led me to pursue a 300-hour teacher training certification," says Ramashna, which she is currently working on. She is also excited to be nearing the completion of a course in Yin Yoga and Sound Therapy.
"My yoga journey has not only been exciting and inspiring, but it has also changed my life immensely," says Ramashna, "and it allows me to support others on their path to inner peace and holistic wellness."
